...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 8 AM CST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 22 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Louisiana and
southeast Texas.

* WHEN...From 2 AM to 8 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

JEANERETTE, La. -- Police responded to a home that was shot at by multiple suspects in Jeanerette.

Officers arrived at a residence in the area of Candlewood Estates on April 28 due to a complaint of gunshots. Video surveillance footage was obtained which revealed three suspects exiting a vehicle and firing shots at the residence. No injuries have been reported.

Officers said they are following leads and anyone with information about the shooting can contact the Jeanerette Police Department at 337-276-6323.
