...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 8 AM CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...For the first Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills
as low as 20. For the second Cold Weather Advisory tonight into
Wednesday morning, very cold wind chills as low as 22 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Louisiana and
southeast Texas.

* WHEN...For the first Cold Weather Advisory, until 9 AM CST this
morning. For the second Cold Weather Advisory, from 2 AM to 8 AM
CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.

Breaux Bridge Armed Robbery Suspect

BREAUX BRIDGE, LA - The Breaux Bridge Police Department was informed of an Armed Robbery at the Mexican Store on Grand Pointe Highway on February 28, 2022.

Video was obtained and the suspect , a heavy-set male, was seen on video. The suspect was wearing a black knit hat, a black mask and a grey hoodie with a LSU emblem on the front.

He fled in an unknown direction. If anyone has any information on the identity of the male suspect, please contact the police department at 337-332-2186 or through their Facebook page.
