•Louisiana has been ranked the 3rd in the country among states with the highest drowning rates

•According to the CDC, drowning is the leading cause of death for infants and young children between the ages of 1-4.

•Know the warning signs of drowning: head low in the water, mouth at water level, head titled back and mouth open, eyes glassy and empty, etc

•Keep children within in arms reach and Take 15 minute shifts watching the water

•Start swim lessons as young as 6 months old
