* WHEN...From 2 AM to 8 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Lafayette Police searching for armed robbery suspect near Doiron Drive

LAFAYETTE, La. (KADN) - The Lafayette Police Department is searching for an armed robbery suspect in the area of Doiron Drive on Friday afternoon.

An LPD spokeswoman tells News15 that around 10:30 a.m., officers pursued a vehicle with the suspect of the robbery. That robbery happened in the 1700 block of North University Avenue.

While chasing the suspect, they jumped out of the vehicle and ran into a neighboring apartment complex.

LPD said that officers are in the 200 block of Doiron Drive with a permieter in place in an attempt to locate the suspect.
