...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 8 AM CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...For the first Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills
as low as 20. For the second Cold Weather Advisory tonight into
Wednesday morning, very cold wind chills as low as 22 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Louisiana and
southeast Texas.

* WHEN...For the first Cold Weather Advisory, until 9 AM CST this
morning. For the second Cold Weather Advisory, from 2 AM to 8 AM
CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.

Cajun Heartland State Fair 2022

LAFAYETTE, La.- The Cajun Heartland State Fair will return to the CAJUNDOME grounds Thursday, May 26 through Sunday, June 5. The 2022 CHSF will feature exciting new amusement rides, free attractions and entertainment offerings to delight attending fans.

More event information will be shared over the coming months but fans can refer to www.cajundome.com/events/chsf2022 for the latest updates. Advance discounted ride tickets and wristband vouchers are scheduled to go on-sale Friday, April 1 through May 25 but early bird discounts are limited.

New this year, is the #BIGSHOTVIP Pass. The Pass ($275 value) includes admission into the fair each day, two unlimited ride wristband vouchers that can be redeemed on the day of your choice, music grandstand VIP tent admission with restroom access, admission into the Opening Night VIP crawfish boil, plus a CHSF swag bag for $100 per person.

VIP passes are limited and only available in advance of the Fair. Games and free attractions such as the Circus Hollywood, featuring a Big Top circus with nightly performances, the Giraffic Menagerie and Petting Zoo, Racing Pigs and Pony and Camel Rides will delight fans and don’t miss the return of the Prehistoric Dinosaur Adventures featuring a mobile museum and interactive dinosaur walks!
