A man as well as a juvenile are dead following an early morning shooting.
OPELOUSAS,La. --Â Opelousas Police said one person was arrested and another is sought in a homicide investigation involving the death of a 46-year-old man and a 4-year-old girl.

Police said one person identified as Felton James Martin of Lafayette was arrested April 28 in Baton Rouge. Martin was arrested and transported to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Department and booked on two counts of first degree murder, 3 counts of attempted first degree murder, home invasion, and felon in possession of a firearm.

Davieontray Breaux of Lafayette is currently wanted for two counts of first degree murder, 3 counts of attempted first degree murder, home invasion, and felon in possession of a firearm. If anyone comes into contact with Breaux he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Investigators are asking that you notified Law Enforcement if you come into contact with Breaux.
OPELOUSAS, La. -- According to Chief Martin McLendon of the Opelousas Police Department, officers received a call at approximately 12:56 a.m. in reference to several people being shot. The shooting took place in the 700 block of Mia Street where officers found one man dead inside the residence.

One Adult, One Child Dead In Early Morning Shooting
Officers said they determined the shooting occurred as a result of an earlier physical altercation between two adult females. At some point later, two unknown males became involved in the altercation which led to multiple rounds being fired in an apartment unit were the victims were found.
The 46-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The 4-year-old victim died at Opelousas General and three juveniles were hospitalized. A 17-month-old female victim is currently hospitalized with serious injuries, a 7-year-old male is hospitalized in stable condition and a 16-year-old received a minor injury and is not currently receiving any inpatient care.

The identities of the victims will be released once next of kin is notified.
