...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 8 AM CST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 22 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Louisiana and
southeast Texas.

* WHEN...From 2 AM to 8 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

LAFAYETTE, La. - The St. Mary Parish Government Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness announced road closures will take place Monday, March 10 due to road repairs.

The closure is being conducted to repair roadway at the bridge. Construction will begin at 9am and may last up to 10 days.

Roads that will be affected include, Willow street at the pump station near Truiel Street to Chatsworth Road. The streets will be closed to all traffic but local residents will have access to their homes.
