Cleaveland Perkins Arrested For Attempted First Degree Murder

LAFAYETTE, La. – Lafayette Police responded to a shots fired call in the 200 block of Rain Tree Trail. Several bullet casings were located near the front door of a house.

Police spoke with the victim and learned that he met up with the shooter, identified as 21 year old Cleveland Perkins of Lafayette, who pulled out a gun in an attempt to rob him.

The victim says he ran as Perkins shot at him multiple times missing him. Officers located and arrested Perkins charging him with attempted first-degree murder. He was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
