...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 8 AM CST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 22 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Louisiana and
southeast Texas.

* WHEN...From 2 AM to 8 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

NEW IBERIA, La. — Sheriff Tommy Romero and the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office are requesting assistance from the public in locating Megan Boutte regarding her involvement in the burglary of Doug Ashy Building Materials in Iberia Parish.

On January 14, 2024 at approximately 2:00 p.m., detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to Doug Ashy Building Materials, located at 3206 East Old Spanish Trail, in reference to a business burglary.

Through evidence discovered at the scene, an individual broke into the business and stole approximately $80,000 of product and a company truck.

Anyone with information on the location of Megan Boutte is asked to contact the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-369-3711, submit a tip on the Iberia Sheriff’s App, call Iberia Crime Stoppers at 337-364-TIPS (8477), or use the mobile P3 App to submit your tip anonymously and receive a CASH reward for up to $1,000.
