BATON ROUGE, La. (KADN) — Former Lafayette Christian Academy quarterback Ju'Juan Johnson is switching from defensive back for LSU to running back after John Emery tore his ACL in practice this week, head coach Brian Kelly announced on Thursday.
The true freshman will provide depth to a Tiger running back room that has Josh Williams, Kaleb Jackson, and Caden Durham after Emery was lost for the season.

As a quarterback, Johnson broke the Louisiana state record for total yards with 14,451 and touchdowns with 171 at LCA.
LSU hosts Nicholls State on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
