What's for lunch? We are all looking for a new restaurant to try! If you're looking for a spot that has BBQ Plates and delicious sandwiches and smoked meats, Acadian Superette is the place to go! Located in Historic Freetown in Downton Lafayette at 600 Lamar Street. Acadian Superette has been a staple in Acadiana since 1991. Click here to visit their website.

The local eatery was originally the old Petrous grocery store located in Freetown, Lafayette's oldest neighborhood right next to downtown. Robert Autin took over in 2017.

All of their meats are made and smoked in house. They've even built their own smoking equipment. Boudin is made and served fresh every day. There is a small deli case with homemade bacon, andouille, smoked sausage, tasso, boudin, and other specialty meats.
 
Acadian Superette boasts a large outdoor patio with landscaping and large brick fireplaces and smokehouses(can be seen in use by guests).
 
The owner, Robert Autin, is a butcher, and chef as well as a full time General and Bariatric Surgeon.
 
The head chef and manager, Don Green, is a graduate of Louisiana culinary institute and has worked in some of the finest New Orleans restaurants.
 
Acadian Superette is able to cater your next gathering or celebration and is also able to host large events of up to 294 people. They're equipped with a full bar!
