RAYNE, La. (KADN) — Rayne police are looking for the driver who damaged public basketball courts by doing donuts on them on the Fourth of July. The courts are now closed while repairs are underway.
They added the incident happened in the 1000 block of Lyman Avenue on Wednesday, July 3, around 9 p.m.
According to investigators, a silver 2002 Buick sedan was driven in a "reckless manner" on the court and it was later determined that Hollier was the driver. They added two other people were with him at the time but they were not charged.
Police noted the basketball court is still closed but it was evaluated by the company that installed it and the repairs are expected to be completed this week.
