...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 8 AM CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...For the first Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills
as low as 20. For the second Cold Weather Advisory tonight into
Wednesday morning, very cold wind chills as low as 22 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Louisiana and
southeast Texas.

* WHEN...For the first Cold Weather Advisory, until 9 AM CST this
morning. For the second Cold Weather Advisory, from 2 AM to 8 AM
CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.

Stepfather Charged In Connection To Missing 2 Year Old

BATON ROUGE, La. - Philip Gardner reported his stepdaughter, Nevaeh Allen, missing on Friday afternoon.

The Louisiana State Police canceled the Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory that was issued on behalf of the Baton Rouge Police Department for Nevaeh Allen.

NBC-affiliate WVLA reports Nevaeh Allen’s body has been found in Hancock County in Mississippi. The Baton Rouge Police Department reports an autopsy will be performed and will determine the cause of death.

Officials spent three days, trying to piece together what happened. Gardner was arrested yesterday.

He was charged with unlawful disposal of remains.
