LAFAYETTE, La. - The Biden Administration is launching a phone line for Americans to order 4 covid-19 test kits per household.

A senior white house policy advisor says there new Covid phone lines will help those who don't have internet access such as the elderly or those in lower income based areas.

"People are dying everyday, it's a good idea because it's going to save lives and a lot of people can't go because they don't have any transportation," said Celestine.

The new practice came into play just days after the federal government introduced its website. A website that would help people order Covid-19 testing kits to their homes.

"People might not want to go in the doctor's office or clinic. They don't want to wait in line to get tested but if they have it at their house they can go ahead and do it themselves and then they can call their family Doctor. Yet you also won't be exposing the next person," said Duplantis.

For those of you who would like to order the testing kits you can call 1-800-232-0233 for assistance and even better. Once you get on the line there is a range of bilingual operators who can speak English, Spanish, plus an extra 150 other languages.

"It's an excellent idea because now you have no excuse, now you have no excuse. who doesn't want to save their life or someone else's life? It's not just about me," said Celestine.

The ordering of these testing kits could also help with the scarcity of finding a testing kit at places like your local Walgreens or Walmart.

Right now testing kits at Walmart are $19.88, at Walgreens it's $23.99 and the prices are only getting pricier amid scarce supplies and soaring demand.

Now when you order the test the white house says you can expect to wait anywhere between 7 and 12 days and thats after your order has been placed.

"It's good because it'll keep eevrybody safe. Your health won't be at risk at all, it's perfect because you want to unto toher as they would do to you by keeping the enviornemt safe," said Scott.

Keep in mind the covid phone line will be open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to midnight EST.
