...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 8 AM CST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 22 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Louisiana and
southeast Texas.

* WHEN...From 2 AM to 8 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

SCOTT, La. (KADN) - The Scott Police Department is asking for help finding a man who threatened a store clerk with a machete.

According to SPD, the subject entered a business in the 1000 block of Renaud Drive about 4 p.m. Monday (December 27).

Police said he threatened her while demanding items from behind the counter.

When the employee refused, the person damaged the inside of the business and took other items without paying.

Scott police identified the man as Cody Lance Fruge, 32, of Lafayette. An arrest warrant for the armed robbery has been issued. He's also wanted on several warrants through the Lafayette Police Department.

Officers said Fruge may be armed and in the Scott/Lafayette area. If you see him or know where he is, you're asked to call the local police department.
